Description
This role presents a great opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on a long-term major project in the energy sector from the beginning. The company operate across the civils, utility and energy sectors and is on an impressive growth trajectory, much of which is coming from the energy division.
This role should appeal to an ambitious Senior QS seeking a rewarding long-term career with a clear path for progression to Commercial Management.
This is a hybrid working role, with 2 /3 days per week expected on site.
The Role
Reporting to the project lead the Senior QS will take commercial lead on an initial scheme valued at £15M. It is expected as the project progresses that further significant packages of work will be awarded
This role offers the opportunity to work on a long-term framework and offers a good variety of schemes and sub-contracts to manage.
The contract is administered under NEC terms & conditions
Responsibilities will include the full post-contract remit from project inception through to final accounts including:
Manage sub-contractors
Carry out CVR reporting
Identify and manage risk
liaise with the client and provide support and guidance to junior members of the team and the Project Managers.
Experience Required
Suitable applicants will be educated in BSc Quantity Surveying or similar and will be able to demonstrate experience working at Senior QS level on civil engineering, utility or infrastructure projects in the UK
