Description

An established specialist highways and infrastructure contractor that operate across London are seeking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to complement their team in North / East London Borders. The role is working on a range of highways maintenance and highways improvement schemes valued at £15M per annum.

The business is part of a wider group that delivers major infrastructure projects across the UK. They have experienced significant organic growth over the last three years and have built a stable commercial team that delivers term maintenance contracts across the capital.

This hybrid working role requires three days per week on-site.



The Role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager the Senior Quantity Surveyor's responsibilities will include;
Carrying out measurements on-site
Verifying sub-contract requisitions
Managing sub-contract accounts including applications for payment
Liaising with and providing commercial support to site teams
Maintaining records and supplying information for monthly cost and value reports
Support the authorisation and submission of project variations. To authorise the placement of contracts, subcontracts, material and plant orders
Maximise cash flow through control, measurement (including quality) and valuation of work, and the invoicing of customers and payment suppliers
Value work executed by subcontractors and certify interim and final payments.



Experienced Required
Suitable candidates will be educated to HNC / BSc in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management and will be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of NEC or ICC contracts.
You will be able to demonstrate an excellent grasp of Microsoft Excel and and a proven track record of commercial success delivering infrastructure, highways maintenance and or utility projects.
This role is immediately available and is being offered outside of IR35.
