Description
The SHEQ Manager can be based remotely with visits to sites in East Anglia as required.
As a SHEQ Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of legislative compliance and promoting continuous improvement of Safety and performance .
The Role
Responsibilities will include, reviewing and approving subcontractor RAMS and SOPS and ensuring compliance with AWS standards
Undertaking site audits to monitor compliance
Other H&S-related tasks as required
You’ll be supporting the Site Teams in identifying solutions and options to overcome issues, delivering Toolbox Talks, safety briefings and wellbeing campaigns.
You will provide training and advice, encouraging the reporting of near misses through proactive engagement with Operatives and Supervisors.
You will also review risk assessments and method statements, verifying temporary works are implemented safely.
You’ll conduct investigations of incidents and accidents, identifying root cause analysis and recommendations to prevent re-occurrence. Reporting incidents in line with Client and MWS minimum requirements and submit reports within agreed timescales. You’ll also ensure actions from investigations are acted upon and close out the report in a timely manner.
Assisting in the identification of safety training needs for site based personnel and bringing these to the attention of the Regional Health and Safety Manager. Cooperating with the Health and Safety Executive in connection with their site visits.
Experince Required
Suitable SHEQ Managers will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of Heal & Safety Managment working on MEICA Projects.
You will have excellent communication skills and be able to work with minimal supervision.
