Description
The company operate across Sussex, Kent and Hampshire and its current portfolio of live projects ranges from £5M-£50M in value. They deliver infrastructure projects for local authorities, water authorities and the environment agency.
The Role
Responsibilities of the Bid Manager will include:
• Studying tender documentation and information provided
• Carrying out site visits and discussions with key subcontractors.
• Work with the selected designer and consultants on Design & Build contracts
• Liaise with the client, client-designer and stakeholders when requires
• Coordinate and produce high-quality, accurate and attractive tender documents, responses and presentations
• Understand and define client requirements from tender documents and wider industry knowledge
• Help define the best offer to win each tender
• Decide on the best method to present a persuasive and compelling offer that meets client and tender requirements
• Assist the Estimator in assessing & highlighting risks that are to be taken by the company subject to the tender review process
• Ensure that quality/technical envelope submissions are complete and submitted on time
Experience Required
• Suitable Bid Writer applicants should be able to demonstrate :
• A proven track record of success in effective bid writing
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of the production of bids/tenders
• Microsoft Office skills -Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
