Description
The role will suit an ambitious career driven Assistant QS seeking the opportunity to develop a long-term career with an established business that will expand significantly over the next 10 years, bringing with it huge opportunity for career progression.
This is a hybrid working role with three days per week expected in the office and two days working from home.
The Role
Working on a utility framework and reporting to the Senior QS you will assist with the managing a number of schemes at anyone time with a combined value of £10M. Projects are civil engineering schemes in the water sector such as gravity fed sewers and pumping stations. This opportunity offers a varied QS role working for well established contractor with healthy order books for the next five years.
Duties will include:
Subcontract management
Cost reporting and cost reconciliations.
Generating and reporting weekly revenue and cost reports
Controlling submissions of daily completed jobs
Support the authorisation and submission of project variations
Liaising with Operations & Planning to monitor job progress and scope changes
Assist management with the subcontractor supply chain
Experience Required
To be considered you will be educated to HNC/ BSc Quantity Surveying and be able to demonstrate experience working on civil engineering, utility or ideally power projects in the UK.
An excellent understanding of NEC contracts is essential.
