Description

A leading utility contractor have been awarded a significant telecoms framework with some of the UK's largest broadband providers in the UK to install to premises across the South East.
The contractor are helping to build and maintain broadband networks, including the rollout of cutting-edge full fibre broadband to 20 million homes and businesses across London and the South East.
As such they are looking to recruit Telecoms Poling Engineers to join their teams in working on multiple sites across London and the Home Counties.

The Role
Responsibilities will include:
The Poling Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining the Openreach Network, documenting, checking and maintaining all completed works.
Installation and removal of poles, including dressing new poles.
Replacing existing drop-wires.
Replacing overhead and UG joints in the Open Reach network.
Undertaking works in accordance with the highest level of health & safety standards.

Experience Required
The successful Poling Engineer will be able to demonstrate:
Pole Erection Unit and HIAB experience.
Poling engineers must be Self-motivated, be able to stay calm in pressure situations.
Computer literate and the ability to use a tablet device.
Hold full NRSWA Street-works qualifications at operative level including Cat Genny training.
Have a full UK license (each crew will require a HGV Class 2 license).
