Description

Due to an increase in allocated work a leading civil engineering contractor is seeking to recruit a Project Quantity Surveyor to complement their team working on
This role is with the water division working on capital works current schemes include, major diversions and mains renewals the Project Quantity Surveyor will work on such schemes ranging in value from £200K - £5M each.
The wider group maintain a strong presence in civil engineering, rail, aviation and construction.
This is a hybrid working Project Quantity Surveyor opportunity.

The Role
Reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of work valued at £20M
Providing leadership and support to junior members of the team and contractual advice and support to the operations delivery management
Reviewing Sub-contractors and engaging with and expanding the supply chain
Raising new subcontracts, monitoring and adherence to governance levels
Managing and reporting on changes to the contract
Working closely with the Operational Lead to record data accurately and identify risks and commercial opportunities. carry out sub-contact evaluations and authorising payments

Experience Required
Suitable Quantity Surveyors will be educated in HNC / BSc Quantity Surveying and will have no less than five years QS experience working within the civil engineering or utility sectors.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will have a thorough understanding of NEC forms of contracts and will be able to demonstrate a stable career history gained within either a sub or main contractor environment. Excellent Excel spreadsheet skills are essential.
Lodge and travel expenses will be paid for Project QS candidates living outside of commuting distance to the office
